ZIP LINING, WHAT AN 80TH BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION!

9-15-22

The brakes are done all around, now on to the next repair, and I still didn’t have the connector for the electricity, it was getting hot, so I left the RV park to see about getting the exhaust for the generator.  I got my check from Shaklee and was able to get gas.  I went to one exhaust place and the person who did exhausts was out sick, they said he would be back tomorrow.  I went to another place and they didn’t have the right size pipe.  So I was halfway out of Mesa, I ask Father God, should I go toward Las Vegas, he said yes and I left from there at 3:30PM on my way to Las Vegas.

The journey was very interesting.  I drove on mostly 2 lane highways (one each way) and desert but different than what it had been.  I have seen so many different kinds of deserts, it is amazing.

I stopped in a Loves overnight and as soon as I parked a French young Lady asked me if it was safe to stay there overnight.  I told her I was staying and they pulled into the parking space next to me in their rented van with huge bugs painted all over it.  They were traveling further South in Arizona and we were in Kingsman, Arizona.  The young lady who talked to me was on a year visa from France, a nanny in Chicago and the other young lady was on vacation from France and they were on a two week tour of the SW.

Arrived in LasVegas was taken to Dinner by Andy a fellow RVer to Icabod’s, a fancy restaurant with cloth napkins, both of us were in flip flops, which is the style for Las Vegas.

9-16-22

Brunch with Sharon at I Hop, and we had a good visit.  She blessed me with cash for my Birthday and paid for the meal!

Met next door neighbors, they invited me to Dinner after the grill was put together and they cooked hamburger.  They shared with me regarding the trip to Reno, which was very helpful.  While we were fellowshipping, a friend of theirs came with a step that he was giving away, and gave it to me.  It was perfect.  Look at Father God.

9-17-22

My Child, I love you and I missed you but I know you were with me.  I have your schedule and I know you are wondering what to do from here.  The McDuel’s are coming to take you to breakfast and you wanted to know what I have for you.  It is my desire that you leave in the direction of Reno today, after you meet with Sandy.  Prepare for the journey and there is no need to get the exhaust pipe fixed before you go, I have you.  I have everything about you.  You will have seen every person that I need you to see.

The McDuell’s came and picked me up and went to brunch at another I Hop and had a great fellowship. They also blessed me with Birthday cash.  Look at Father God.  They took me back to the RV park and before they left, Sandy and Phillip, her husband came.  Sis. McDuell and both of them were from Jamiaca.  They connected and exchanged information so they can keep in touch.

Sandy and Phillip stayed and we fellowshipped in the RV.  Phillip helped me fix some things and we had a good time.  It was their first exposure to RVing.

I unhooked while they were here which gave them some hands on experience.  As soon as they left, I headed out towards Reno, NV.

9-18-22

Left Beatty, NV (where Burros were all over the town, left overs from the gold rush days) for Reno,NV and met with Mike and Elaine and stayed overnight on the street in front of their house.  It was cool enough to not need the AC.

9-19-22 Entered Oregon

Gas in Klamath Falls $200 filled the tank, you are not allowed to pump your own gas in Oregon and there is no sales tax.  Both are nice.

Finally, trees, Healing trees and greenry.  After months of desert, it is so nice and comforting to be surrounded by trees and greenery.  Tere is a lot of lava beds also.  I stayed the night in a Rest stop in the trees, about an hour from Bend, Oregon.

9-20-22

I checked into the Sun River Thousand Trails, found my site and dumped my tanks.  There is no sewage available anywhere in the park accept for the dump station.

I called Joan and Bill and we agreed to see each other tomorrow.

9-21-22 5AM Pacific time.  42 degrees this morning!  I had the electric heater on all night.

Renee, Mindy and I were on the prayer call.  It was on thoughts and controlling our thoughts.

Good Morning, my love, I appreciate your taking a day of rest and dedicating it to me.  I want to talk with you today.  I love you and you are abounding in it.  I am so pleased with how you are managing your emotions and loving your Sister.  I want more from you.  I want you to make amends to her for the strongholds and the thoughts you have had toward her in a letter, now.

9-22-22, 3AM

Today is the day I go Zip lining down Mt. Bachelor in Bend Oregon.  My Sister gifted it for my 80th Birthday which was Sept 14th but we had to reschedule because I wasn’t here.

My Child, I have you and I am so thrilled that you are getting the desires of your heart.  I have more for you.  I am pleased that you wrote y our amends to Joan.  Your heart needed to be shared.  I desire that you hear me later, you need your sleep now.

I went back to sleep. The prayer group was with Sandi and she affirmed that I spoke from my heart in the amends.  I got ready to go to pick up Joan and she had coats and boots and all I needed for the Zip line, it will be 37 degrees on the Mountain, I had gloves, thank you Father. I only had clothes for Florida.  We drove to Mt. Bachelor in their van, it was a beautiful day and a beautiful ride.

We got there early enough to register and go to the bathroom and then the group for the Zip line gathered.  There was about 12 people in each group, but only in ours because I was the only one without a partner, except for Jesus and He is enough!  I was also the last person to Zip line each time.  We had a practice run and I began to realize this was a lot more than I thought.  We were each given a 14lb back pack and then had to walk up lots of stairs and hills.  It was physically challenging because I have been driving for 3 months and not getting much exercise.  Word got around that I was celebrating my 80th Birthday and everybody was helpful.  They were also cheering me on.

There was a handle we had to had to pull down on to make it go.  The first time I pulled down on it, for the practice run was difficult, my strength was being challenged which turned out to be an adventure at the end.  Another challenge, which Andy warned me about, was the thinking process of the control of the movement.  Up was stop and slow down, and down, was go and go fast.  That seemed backwards to me, so I was retraining my brain also.

Joan, my 86 year old Sister, who gave me the Zip line adventure for my Birthday, was bundled up and stayed at the bottom watching and enjoying the Mountain scenery and the happenings there.  There were groups of bicyclers going up the Mountain with their bikes on the ski-lift, then they rode down the Mountain, wow.  She was able to watch them at the end of their ride also.

We headed up the ski lift up to the tree line of the Mountain, it was beautiful but getting chillier as we ascended.  Four could ride each seat but since I had Jesus as mine, He didn’t take up any space.  I rode with Liz and Isaac, we were together most of the event.  He had done similar things in the service and he was not real happy to do it again but Liz was encouraging him, she wanted to flourish to the finish also.  He later asked me to pray for him because he knew I had connections, I did.  They both were real sweet to me.

Getting off the ski lift meant that we had to immediately get off and rush away from the circling equipment, some with bikes and some with people on chairs behind us.  Then we had to walk up a hill (with our 14lb backpacks) to a lot of stairs to the first launching platform.  Then we waited on the stairs for each couple to launch, it was cold and windy but beautiful and the Mountain still had patches of snow and we were in the clouds starting out. My ears were popping like they do on airplanes with the elevation.

Then… I was the last one and it was my turn.  First the staff took the equipment out of my back pack and hooked it up to the Zip line.  Once it was connected they helped me up on a wooden box and then hooked me up to the equipment that was in the back pack. (I already had a harness on that would allow me to recline while hanging on the line.)  Then I was ready for takeoff which I controlled once I had he strength to pull down on the handle.  I had to hang on to the handle the whole time to control the speed.  I was so focused on all the stuff to remember that I wasn’t scared or even excited until I watched the video of myself later.  Before I took off I asked the Staff member if he would take pictures and video of me, he did, and did an excellent job.

I tipped him at the end.  The first segment, I did good, and the second was OK too.  Each time we had to go up and down the steps of the platform with our backpacks on.  The last segment was the steepest, an 800 ft drop and the fastest.  They gave us more warnings and instructions.  I was near the end of my arm strength and as I approached the platform, I stopped too soon (about 10 feet from the platform, dangling in the air and I didn’t have the strength to pull down on the handle to make it go the last 10 ft.

OK I am dangling on the Zip line, no one on the platform can reach me and I can’t pull the handle down to make it go the last 10 feet.  I prayed and the staff scrambled to feed me a line with a hook on it.  When I got the line, I didn’t know what to do with it.  The staff was several feet under me on the ground giving me instructions, which I couldn’t hear all of, or understand.  They kept trying and telling me to hook the hook on (and they named the piece of equipment and I didn’t know what they were talking about.  Finally, I got it that they wanted me to hook the line on the handle I had been controlling it with so they could pull down on it from the ground below and get me on the platform.  It finally worked and they could get me unhooked.  They did great and I was exhausted.

Joan was so awesome, she had been helped by a staff member and she sent him over to help me get back to solid ground and the terrain was uneven, rocky, and I was unstable in the exhausted state I was in.  He held my hand and was very caring and sweet.  I gave Him and my “photographer” my information.  What a day. I immediately had Shaklee’s “Triple Defend Boost” and energizing tea and we went to the van and I started recovering and got warm and drove back for dinner.  We got to Mt. Bachelor at 10:30AM and got back at 3 PM.

I had my first meal at the Assisted Living dining hall, which was very good and they had people to wait tables.  Joan and Bill had paid ahead for me, they are so kind.  They had menus and if you didn’t like what they served that meal, you could order a few other options, including veggie burger.  Wow.

Joan did her “giving” which was a collection of photos, most of which I did not have, jewelry, a beautiful nightgown, towels and a handmade German throw blanket,  avocados,  and some pea snacks.  Everything needed and perfect.

Bill gave me a Birthday card that was cute.  It said, “First God created Man, then He had a better idea.  First the rough draft…then the Masterpiece!  Happy Birthday.” Bill, with Love.

That was so thoughtful and he picked it out himself, he is a keeper.

The two Shaklee orders arrived for me and we took everything down on the walker to dinner, then Joan brought it to the front and I pulled the RV around and we loaded it in the front and I left for the RV park, about 30 minutes away.

When I arrived and backed in the neighbors across the road came over and asked if I needed help hooking up.  One Lady was on staff at the camp store and the other Lady was from NY.  I gave them my card and the Staff Lady offered to take me to Bend on Saturday, we will check on each other later.

I went to bed early after I sent out some videos and responded to some Birthday greetings. +++

9-23-22

My Child, I love you so and I desire that you rest today.  Yesterday was physically taxing for you and your body needs the rest.  I am so pleased with you and I have you in abundance.  Much fruit will come out of your Zip line adventure, you will see.  You represented me well and others in the Zip-line group recognized it.   I have much more for you.

Bill and I had planned to take his van to Walmart to get it worked on today, but we decided to postpone it until Monday.  I rested and then went back to bed.  When I woke up, I thought it was 3 AM but it was daylight and it was 3 PM.  It was a great nap. I thought I would be sore but I am doing well, thank you, Father God.

9-24-22 Bend 41 degrees going up to 78 today.

Good morning my Child, I have you and I love you.  My purpose for this day shall be achieved.  You have willed it by joining my team and submitting yourself to me.  I appreciate that about you.  We can accomplish much together.  We need each other to do it.  My team wins.  I am always orchestrating things in the background for our good because you love me and obey me and trust me and rely on me, I can work through you unencumbered and free.  It was, and is my desire that you unite with your Sister in a way you have never done before.  It is not just for you, as most everything I do, it is for others to see and be encouraged to love and unite with their loved ones, or ones close to them.  Loose the fear, it is not of me.  Let it go and know that I got this.  It was my idea to bring you here now, it is the time.  I will show you.  Walk the path I have set you on, do not deviate, or move from it.  Be steadfast and unmovable in it, stay on my team, follow my lead, stay on my course.

Go to the Goodwill store and get some winter clothes, you will need them.  I will show you.  Your finances are in my hands, you will see.  I am your source and your abundance, you will see.  Do you want me to extend my stay here at this RV park?

My Child, don’t get ahead of me, I got you.

9-25-22

I went to the Journey Church in Bend with Brenda and then we came back to the RV park, got comfortable, got her dog and went to lunch.  It was a gorgeous day and we sat outside at a table on their patio.  It was wonderful.  We found out about a women’s retreat from Sep 30-Oct 2 by the Journey Church.

9-26-22

My Child I love you and I have you.  Enjoy your day and continue to represent me well.  I have you.  I do want you to attend the Women’s retreat on the 30th and extend your reservations for Bend RV park to the max.  I have you today and every day.  I love you, my Child forever.

Brenda took me to Bend to take Joan and Bill to Walmart.  She was going to do some workout classes and then pick me up from the Assisted living place where they stay.  Brenda and I both signed up for the retreat this weekend and we are hoping to room together.  It is going to be at Washington Ranch which used to belong to a cult back in the day, here in Antelope, Oregon about an hour and a half from Bend.

I was able to get a converter to replace the one that got over loaded and got some winter layers of clothing.  Joan gave me a perfect coat of Bills that will be sufficient for the coldest winter, what a blessing!  I got another wrench to replace the one I left at the last place I hooked up.

I finished first at Walmart, then later, they were ready and we met Brenda at their place and came back to the RV resort.  It was a productive day for all.  Brenda decided to give her dog, Daisy, to her husband who lives in Tacoma Washington and she planned to meet him in Portland on Thursday.  I may go with her to get the book of the history of Bridge from Darrell in Hillsboro.  I tried to reach Judy but her number was wrong.
