WOW WOW WOW! Yesterday I left the Palm Desert RV park and
it was still showers on and off but not a hard rain, which made it easier to
drive. It cleared up when I needed to
get gas and as I got closer to Arcadia and Pasadena, where I had to go.
I arrived at our Shaklee up-line a little after noon and they were each on separate phones, doing Shaklee
business. I am so impressed , they don't
look much older than they did in 1974 and they are both in good health. The wife is 89 years young and on no
medication. She prepared and served a
wonderful lunch, homemade chicken and cabbage soup, homemade chicken salad with
homemade toasted almonds, desert was delicious pineapple and homemade oatmeal
raisin cookies.(I only ate one) Everything was delicious and healthy! We had a wonderful visit and they are both in
their right minds, getting around well, living independently in a beautiful
home with a pool and guest house, and thriving in their Shaklee business! They are planning to have the whole family
including 6 Great Grand's for Christmas at their house. WHAT AN INSPIRATION!
We called my good friend
Ronnie, so she could talk to our up-lines.
She was at her first Shaklee meeting when he flew out to Maryland from California our 3rd day to get us started. She thanked them again.
After a wonderful lunch and
visit, I went about 20 minutes away and picked up my College friend, who is
still teaching Chemistry in High School (Same age as me). It was her last day for the Christmas
break. What a blessing that we got to
see each other before she leaves for Costa Rico on Saturday. She insisted on taking me to dinner. We went to a really nice place with free
range beef and Chicken and really good
food. I brought most of it home to eat
over the next week. We had a lovely
visit and will probably see each other again when she gets back and before I
leave California.
I dropped her off at her
house at about 8 PM and planned to
go to Chino, to a Walmart to stay the night then travel to
Palmdale the next day. Well, I stopped
for gas and things changed. I looked and
saw it was only about 2 hours to Palmdale and I still felt pretty good, I
thought about the traffic the next day getting out of the City for Christmas,
they were calling for rain and I felt at peace to travel.. So I did.
It was a great trip up the
freeway with no traffic, when I got close (10 miles), I had to go on a canyon
road, which was probably beautiful during the day, at night it was a little
different. A tunnel, bridge, where I
side swiped a guard rail. (upon
inspection this morning, it put a long even scratch down the full length of the
RV). GPS was good until it told me to
turn onto a dirt road that said "no outlet", I turned on the road and
saw nothing, (dark) that would indicate the RV park. I stopped to go to the bathroom (thank God I
have one on board!) . When I came out, a
Lady (who lived in the area) pulled up beside me and told me that it happened
all the time GPS gave the wrong turn, that is was just up the road. She helped me to find a place to turn around
(which was no easy task) and she went on.
Angels in the night, God's way to take care of me. Thank you Jesus!
After that little adventure, I found the RV
park, the next turn and was able to stay in the parking lot over night as it
was 10 PM when I arrived, and they were closed. I was parked within 20 feet of the railroad
tracks. During the night several trains
went by and because there is no guard rail at the crossing, they have to
whistle or blow their horn,(whatever trains do) and that helped me during the
night to get up to go to the bathroom. A
train just went by as I was writing this, and I took a video of the train and
the whistle (I got proof!).
I will check in shortly and
will let you know the next adventure. Isn't
life great! Lovin' it!
Checked in , met and was
adopted by, one of the Rangers. He will
be here Christmas and we have a "date" to watch FTHCM streaming live
since he will be the only one here on duty.
I drove to town, which was a lot shorter than the way I came last
night. I went to the 99 cent store in
Palmdale, and got everything I needed for two weeks, groceries and other stuff,
and it only came to $45.60.
After I hooked up, I met some
neighbors from State
College, Pennsylvania, they are on their maiden voyage of any kind. They sold their house and went full time
RVing in October and are loving it too.
It is supposed to be cold this weekend but the pool is open and heated,
so maybe.....
Somebody told me that I could
rent a car from Enterprise with a debit card.
Well, I checked and I could, with a California drivers license, and registration and insurance, proof of Employment, and something else, by
that time I wasn't listening, yadayadayada....
You know, the Lord will provide!
He provides everything else for me.
I have everything I need!
Have a blessed, peaceful NO
STRESS Christmas! If you are feeling
stressed, STOP, TAKE TEN DEEP BREATHS, TRUST GOD, ALL THOSE THINGS YOU TOOK ON,
YOU PLANNED, YOU "HAVE TO DO" OR NOBODY ELSE WILL, CAN BE
CHANGED! IT IS OK. YOU ARE PRODUCING THE STRESS! STEP AWAY FROM THE STRESS AND CHOOSE PEACE,
EVEN IF IT MEANS IT DOESN'T GET DONE.
PEOPLE AND YOUR FAMILY WOULD RATHER HAVE YOU AND HAVE YOU
CALM AND AT PEACE, THAN THE TENSION AND STRIFE, AND ANXIETY CREATED BY YOUR
STRESS, NOT TO MENTION THE DAMAGE IT DOES TO YOUR BODY AND THE STRESS IT CAUSES
THOSE AROUND YOU! SIT DOWN AND BREATH!
Ok, that was a Grammy Whammy
moment! Love you all, wish I could be
with all of you but evidently, I have other assignments. I will create a great Christmas, if you are
alone, find someone else who is alone and enjoy their fellowship. LOVE, LOVE
LOVE YOU!!! May the love of Jesus be the
brightest Christmas light, shining through you this season!
Sorry it took so long to get this to you but I couldn,'t get internet this morning.
