Sept. 1, 2018
Wow, just a little over a month since I blogged, I am doing better, there is hope for me yet! Well, my "ducks" seem to fly around up in the air a lot, but always land and get in line at exactly the right time. I'm getting it..."All things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose." Rom. 8:28
Again, life is soooo eventful! I must (and I do) trust God, because other stuff doesn't always look or seem good at the time, and I never know until things "work together", and then... Praise the Lord! If I didn't trust God, I would be worried and stressed out all the time. As it is, I have no stress and I don't have to worry. I love my life. enjoy my 250+ adoptees, (some of you, probably just got stressed for me😄). I found the smiley faces!!woopee!
I got one of my computers back, Praise the Lord! I learned that I can live without one, Jesus managed to get His message out without one, and He left us with His Holy Spirit, we haven't even begun to tap His power!
My adopted grandson, Joseph, from Chicago, (I met him 2 years ago in Palm Desert, CA) went home to be with the Lord Jesus, last Saturday. We had just spent a wonderful week together while attending the Shaklee Conference in Las Vegas. We stayed in a 2 room cabin in the RV park which had all the amenities of a Hotel, including a pool and hot tub. He cooked some veggies on the grill, and we had good veggie fajitas for two dinners.
After the Conference was over, which he enjoyed very much, we drove to Zion National Park and loved all of the beautiful scenery. There was a new breathtaking view every 10 seconds or so, we both took a lot of pictures, he loved God's creation. We spent the day driving, stopping, taking pictures, expressing "oohs and aahs" to each other along the way. I will miss him greatly, he had such a sweet spirit.
He is no longer struggling with his addiction to heroin. He had accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior, so I will see him when I am finished , it has given me a greater zeal to seek and save the lost. He taught me so much about "judging" based on appearance, (tattoos, etc..), And to love those "missing their behavior", and helped me to see how God sees them. He had his BS degree and loved animals, all animals, and had lizards and a hedgehog as pets. He was very articulate and a good writer. He told me he was writing a book about his journey with drugs so others might not go down that path. I still remember all the good talks we had, he had such a good heart and cared for others and was so helpful.
The impact of his life is not over, and my prayer is that those who read this, even if you didn't have the joy of knowing him personally, will catch on fire to save those who don't know the devastation of the consequences of bad choices.
I have my house back!(for those not following, I totaled my RV). My RV passed inspection, was re-titled and I got my tags renewed the last day before they expired! Praise the Lord! It looks awesome! They painted it all, including the stripes and it looks brand new! I still don't have my car back yet, but he is still working on it. When it is finished, he said is would run for another 100,000 miles.
The insurance companies are still holding my liver hostage until they figure out who is going to pay for the MRI. I turned in the hearing aids I bought on the last day I could return them and get my money back, and I already got my money back. I found out that my current Medical Insurance will pay $750.00 towards new ones that are not just amplifiers (which that one one was), that the Doctor said would ruin my hearing). I will be able to get them for both ears for $1,250. My insurance will also cover dental and eyes, so I will be making some appointments while I am still here.
The annual stay in Colonial Beach RV Park, (that I paid for last year, and didn't use), was extended to this year. I didn't use it this year, so they graciously extended it to next year. (Praise the Lord!) I can still stay for 21 days, out a week, and back in again for 21 days until they close in November. Waiting on God's plan for my life, only His plan works (I just usually don't know what it is except on a need to know basis.
After getting my tags yesterday, Kevin and Sina are allowing me to stay in their yard in Waldorf, MD, hooked up to water and elec. for the weekend. I blew the circuit when I turned on the air conditioner and I had to use the fans, which let me know I can live without the air conditioner, although I'm not that excited about it at 90 degrees.. I will be picked up by my Host's to go back in their car for Church tomorrow.
Have a Blessed safe Labor Day Weekend!
