THE DECISION IS MADE
April 28, 2018
I was waiting to blog until I had all of my "ducks" in a row. My ducks get out of line a lot, in fact, I keeping them lined up is life's greatest challenge.
I am still in Maryland , at the same place and life is such that I don't have a lot of time to chat with you. I didn't hear anything about the RV until yesterday. It was also that day my friend's husband came home from the hospital and a lot of things happened all at once. So this is how is has shaken out:
I will keep the Minnie Winnie! I will fly back to Tennessee to pick it up. After they duck-tape and plastic-wrap it, I will drive it back to Maryland (take a few days) and empty the stuff from the area that needs repairing and put the stuff in my storage. Then take it to my Go-to-RV-guy to have it repaired , in Colonial Beach, Virginia. He will keep it at his house to do the repairs. With what they will give me and what it will cost for repairs is enough to fix it right. I can then get a Title that will indicate it was reconstructed and should get full coverage insurance again.
I will leave on Tuesday, May,1 to get it.
I have a big Shaklee session to do on April 29, so I can't leave until Tuesday. I will be able to drive myself to the Airport in the rental car and turn it in there. At 5 AM, it is good that I don't need anyone to take me to the Airport.
Ok, you know what I know and God is definitely in charge of my life and I will keep you posted.

BROKEN HOME!
April 12-18,2018
Life is such an exciting
and interesting journey when you know, that you know. that you know,
that all things work together for good! Wow! OK, I am going to try
to catch you up. I am in Maryland, and I arrived Monday night in a
rental car. I am staying with a friends, same one I stayed with
after my operation. It is a blessing for her, as her husband is in
the hospital and she likes the company. It is a blessing for him, so
he doesn't have to worry about her, so God is glorified and it surely
is a blessing for me, and all is well.
OK, here's the deal so
far.
Thursday, April 12th:
When I last blogged I was on my way to the RV repair shop to beat
the rain. I did, and arrived 5 minutes before it closed and they
were able to assess it enough to know that it had to be put inside
before it stormed the next day. They allowed me to stay in their
parking lot for the night and the plan was for them to duct tape and
plastic it up, so I could drive it in the rain and take it to
Murfreesboro, TN, near Nashville, (2 hours away) so I could see my
best friend's daughter and granddaughter & family, then drive it
back after the weekend. They said they couldn't get to it to do the
repairs until the insurance adjuster came, and they weren't sure when
that would be.
OK, meanwhile, I decided
to rent a car and drive the rental car to Nashville and on to
Maryland and wait there for them to repair the RV, then drive back to
Tennessee after it was repaired. Good idea, except that the closest
Enterprize rental car place was in Murfreesboro.
God is so good, Gail came
to pick me up, I stayed the night with her, we had a Vegan dinner and
a nice visit. I planned to see her daughter and family the next day,
but something came up and we decided to plan it, when I came back to
pick up the RV.
The next morning I was
picked up at her house by Enterprize Rental Car, Co. in the car I was
going to drive, a Toyota Corolla) so I could load my stuff right from
Gail's car to the rental car. went to the office and signed the
papers that were, already arranged and paid by the insurance Co., and
I was on my way, still ahead of the storm. It was a serious storm,
with heavy rain, flooding, strong winds and thunder & lightening.
I was able to stay ahead of it until I got to Petersburg, VA and it
passed by in the night, after I was tucked into the Motel and I
hardly even heard it. God is so GOOD!
The whole drive was great,
I enjoyed figuring out the car. IT HAD RADAR! It wouldn't let me
get to close to the car ahead of me, it would slow itself down and
show me when I was too close to the yellow line. Etc... Cool stuff!
Spring is wonderful! The trees were beginning to bloom, and
everything is so green, great mountains and valleys in the land where
Davy Crockett and Daniel Boone and my Great Great Grandfather(William
Larkins) hung out.
William Larkins was a
circuit riding Preacher in these parts, near the West V irginia,
Tennessee, Virginia border. He left there and traveled to Somerset,
PA, got married, kept traveling West to Ohio, Indiana and Iowa. By
that time he had 20 children and left Iowa with 19 of them and their
families and 20 covered wagons (leaving the oldest son and his family
in Iowa). They nearly starved to death and ended up with only three
wagons after eating the oxen that were pulling the other wagons.
They arrived in 1858 (before Oregon was even a territory) and
received one of the first 600 acre Land Grants in Molalla, Oregon/
That is where my Mom was born and that story is for the next book.
I stayed the first night
in Wythville, VA.(near the
Tennessee border). I had a good night's sleep and left about
noon, drove down into North Carolina and back to Virginia,(the
shortest route),.

Stopped
for the night, in Petersburg, VA. at a Motel, after a 7 hour drive
from Wytheville, Virginia . It was a good trip, I listened to the
streaming live and some youtube messages of my church (www.fthcm.org)
always life changing.

I
drove to Fredricksburg, VA. And had lunch with long time friends at
their beautiful house on Lake Anna. They live in Florida now but
came back to put the lake house on the market. I wanted to see them
before they went back to Fla. (Want to buy a house on the lake,
beautiful view, in a gated community, with all the amenities, boat
dock and all?)
After
lunch, I drove on to Upper Marlboro, Maryland. Even though I am at
home in my Motor Home anywhere I am, this area still feels like home
and my husband's family and my Church is my home base, here in
Maryland.
Tuesday,
April 17th
I
took my friend to see her husband in the hospital, went to sign my
taxes so they could be sent in, and then we went to Bible Study. It
surprised a lot of the Church Members because they didn't think I
would be back this early. It was wonderful to get so many hugs and
love.
Wednesday,
April 18th
Today
I stayed in and checked my mail that I received from my adopted
family, who's address I use. Just so you know how it works, All of
my mail comes to their house here is Maryland, and they open it,
throw out the junk (Praise the Lord), take pictures of the important
mail and send it to me by text. I then handle it on line or by
phone. It works great and they have not had to re-mail anything to
me yet!
I
got a call from my insurance guy, THEY ARE TOTALLING MY MOTOR
HOME!!!!I don't know the amount they are settling for yet, but these
are my options:
- Take the money they offer which will be $16,500 or less, and try to find another RV.
- Keep the RV, get someone to repair it (my go-to-RV-guy, said he could fix it) and take a lesser amount.
Please
pray for me as I wait to see how things play out. I am anticipating
a wonderful outcome, perfect for me and what God has planned for me.

There's a hole in my house!
April 12, 2018
Well, I have had quite some adventures since I last blogged. I left my friends in Lena, MS a day early to have a beautiful leisurely, drive to Oxford, Mississippi. I didn't want to rush to make my 10 AM appt. with the Professor to get my tour. The drive up was awesome. Spring is truly springing. I could see every shade of green, from the deepest hunter green to the lightest yellow (almost white) green, all along the road, all in one field of vision, then accented with a white Dogwood occasionally, it was beautiful! I arrived at the Walmart where I was to meet Dr. Colby and I was able to stock up on supplies. I had a great night sleep and at 10 in the morning, Dr. Colby came and he took me on the most interesting tour of “Old Miss” founded in 1843.
He was the most interesting, his wife is in Shaklee and had actually qualified for the all-expense paid trip to Los Cabos, Mexico. She qualified for him to go but he couldn't get off work, to travel and she was on the trip as we toured. He was also invited by Dr. Daggy, to speak at the Medical Affairs segment of the Convention in August, but couldn't go then either. He has been to several of the Conventions in the past. He knows the quality of Shaklee and approved of my “Cell” presentation as a “simple“ way of explaining it. He has his own lab at the University where he tests natural products for Medical uses. They grow and test Marijuana (high fenced in Greenhouses with a guardhouse like a prison). The Campus is beautiful and a lot of research and clinical studies are done there.
When the tour was ended, I drove on to Florence, Alabama. Another beautiful drive, some of it on the Natchez Trace, (a long 440 mile historic forest trail extending from Natchez,Mississippi and into Alabama, and to Nashville,Tenn) like a well cared for Parkway with river, lakes, Indian Burial Mounds, beautiful landscape and no traffic. I arrived in Florence, turned off the road to call my friends, and then I heard this awful scraping sound. I stopped, got out to look and I had damaged the top right rear corner of RV and scraped the side by turning too sharp and hitting the top of a porch overhang, of the Rhodesville Cafe. I was able to get free of it without further damage to the porch (which was minimal) but my Motor Home has a big hole in it (all the way through to the inside). I could have seen the sunrise without even getting out of bed, by just opening my closet door. Thank God it didn't rain.
I called the insurance Company, they gave me a claim number but it was around 4 PM and they were closed so I had to wait until in the morning to see what they will do. I have pretty good insurance, I hope. No-one was hurt, it didn't rain, I learned to not cut corners, and it will be interesting and another adventure to see how this plays out. “ And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God and are the called according to His purpose”.Rom 8:28
I will try to send pictures. Looks like I will go to Ardmore, TN to get it fixed, I have RV full timers insurance so they will take care of up to $750 in Hotel and rental car expense.
I followed my friends to the Walmart, parked the RV and had a wonderful visit and salad at Zaxby's, It was awesome!

Happenings
April 6, 2018
Wow, a lot happens when it
seems like nothing happens! What I mean by that, is, that I am kind
of dialed down, not even going outside and events are happening in
other places that effect me. Now, as you know I don't boggle my mind
with face book, TV, the news, movies, etc... but I do keep in touch
with my friends and family. They have stuff happening, and my life
is very much connected, and when you are still growing spiritually,
it is never ending happenings. All designed to help us grow in the
wisdom and knowledge of God.
Now to the happenings. I
survived another “tornado”, that turned out to be a thunderstorm,
no damage, no problems. We just had another one, must be common
here. I guess if you got used to it, you wouldn't even heed the
warnings. Take a note: ALWAYS HEED THE WARNINGS IN LIFE! Nothing to
fear, but be prepared for what could come. Fear is the devil's plan
to get us off tract (it usually works). We are dis-tracked by his
tricks, especially when we are going in the right direction.
Preparation note: BE IN JESUS!(LIVE, MOVE AND HAVE YOUR BEING IN
HIM!) IT IS THE ONLY SAFE PLACE TO BE!
Monday the 2nd,
I started my launch, of my Shaklee business again, more like a
bautch. When you fail to plan. You plan to fail! So, I haven't
given up, just re-grouped my mind and I am launching again with a
plan. My desire is so strong to be all I can be, to be the best
example of love, good health, good work ethic, good organization,
good skills, and amazing income by helping others achieve their best
self too. I realized that I have an income that sustains me now(and
has for 43 years) virtually based on the work we did our first month
in 1974. We were excited and wanted to share the great benefits we
received (and the great health benefits we saw my parents receive) in
Shaklee. Where can you do that? Work hard for one month and live on
the results for 43 years?! Old age is not so bad when you can be in
your right mind, be in good health, have a great income (travel the
USA) and help others do the same. Lovin' it and I want to share it
with those who are willing and passionate about lifting others up.
Want to hear about it?
Well we had an addition
and subtraction from the family. My husband's oldest Sister's
husband passed on Wednesday. He was such a servant to everyone, he
will surely be missed.
Yesterday after two days
of labor-intense labor (I will spare you the details), my Great Great
Step Grandson was born. He made quite an entrance and at 8.9 lbs and
21 inches long, with a full head of hair, he already has led a high
impact life in the day he has been exposed to this world. He was
taken to a Children's hospital immediately after birth due to lack of
oxygen but he is responding well and Daddy Dion (LaVonne's son, she
was in the delivery room with Dion, the midwife, and a bunch of other
folk) got to give him his first bottle. This is their first Child
and both Dion and wife are fine now. Lots of spiritual growth took
place. He was born on my Sister's 82nd
Birthday, she got a great gift!
I am excited about a
private tour I will get next Wednesday, at the University of
Mississippi, with Dr. David Colby. He is a professor there, and
director of a Lab that tests to see whether Supplements and Herbals
have what they say they have on the labels. I will continue on from
there to Alabama, Tennessee, North Carolina, and finally to Colonial
Beach, VA and Maryland by the 18th.
That is the plan anyway.
We just had another
thunderstorm, and it rained very, very, hard and it sounded sooo good
on the roof, it lasted about 4 hours.

Taxes are Done!!!
MY TAXES ARE DONE! I was determined to finish on Sunday and at 5 Minutes until Midnight, they were done PRAISE THE LORD! I was able to email them to my CPA in Virginia, when he finishes, he will email the back to me and I will sign them and email them back to himm he will electronically file them to IRS, isn't electronics grand?(Sometimes) I hadn't been ouside for three days so I went to Sams Club to get some fresh food.
Yesterday was the first day of my Shaklee launch and I felt good about the efforts. Today, I had lot's of distractions, Tornado watch again and my Step Grandson and his wife are delivering my Great Grand Child, Joseph. They have induced labor and are waiting. They are in Virginia Beach, VA. Distractions are designed to distract, the way you handle them is the key, I haven't been doing so well, so his won't be long. I am ready to move if there is a warning for the Tornado. I will go to the house again.
