People are wonderful!

August 1, 2017
I'm on my way to Portland to catch the plane to Maryland.  I will arrive at 5 AM and my grandson, Tyrone will be picking me up.  I met the most refreshing man on the first leg of my journey.  His name was Glenn, 82 going on 83, looked about 60, very healthy and spry.  He was sitting across the isle from me and started talking about the beautiful scenery, as we were riding along.   We were both full-time RVing and he was going to Portland for a Doctors check up.  He was very intelligent, sharp and articulate as well as well-read.  He asked me what I did and I gave him my Shaklee card.  He said he was just "tickled pink" to get my card. then we both laughed because he was about the same dark brown complexion as my husband was, and it would be very hard for him to be "pink".  He used to use Shaklee food supplements and he would definitely be going on the website to order products.  I commented on how healthy he looked, and he said he worked at it, and never used drugs or alcohol.  We talked about the Lord and had a great time.  He was happy with no stress or worries.  The weather here is hot, over 100 today in many places..  It doesn't seem like it because the humidity is low and when you are in the shade, it is cooler.

I contacted my Grandson from the Ukraine, (that I adopted the last time I was here), hoping he would be working today as a wheelchair assistant.  He text-ed me back saying he would be starting work at 1800 hours.  I think that is 6 o'clock in "real" time and my plane leaves at 6:40PM, so I will miss him. Bummer!

I arrived in Portland, took the light rail to the Airport.  On the light rail, I met a lady from New Zealand who owned a Fifth Wheeler RV  that they used camping throughout New Zealand.  Wow, what a world we live in!  I asked her if she knew Jesus, she drew a blank.  I was getting off the train, but I told her that Jesus loved her so much that He died for her.  I am not sure she understood, but a seed was planted.

5 AM, arrived at Dulles Airport, with about 2 hours of interrupted sleep, but I feel pretty good.  I had a great flight to Denver, sitting next to a most remarkable young man (20 yrs. old).  He was from Wilmington, N C., just returning from a week of hiking in the Wilderness of the Northwest, with Jesus.
He is attending College in N.C. with a Business major.  He was an amazing listener, very respectful, kind, helpful, attentive, patient, willing to learn, humble, and loved the Lord!  He believes that God has a call on his life, but was not sure exactly what it was, but was willing. He loved people and enjoyed developing relationships.  He was eager to learn more about developing people skills. He was born and raised in Colorado, attended small Christian schools, until College. Their family had a trial, when they lost his Dad, when he was 12..They faced it together, they grew closer to the Lord, and his Mother raised 5 children and was a true soccer Mom, and still is.  He is so proud of her.  He has also had opportunities to give his testimony many times, once to over 800 people.  Of course, I adopted him, and we will be in touch.  He is an amazing young man.  As we were about to leave the plane in Denver to make our connections, he asked me a powerful question.  "If you had any words of Wisdom, what would it be?"  I, of course had some, one was "Trust God".

This journey is amazing, I am loving it!, Oh, I forgot to tell you about Mary.  I met Mary at the Light Rail stop on a bench, waiting for a train. She was African American, born and raised in Portland. What?! She knew and loved the Lord, and was a former Shaklee customer and lost her supplier.  Of, course, I shared the updates with her and gave her a Product Selection guide, telling her how much easier Shaklee is to do , now that we don't have to stock and deliver products.

My grandson picked me up and wow, has he grown spiritually!  The car was washed and cleaned and he had just gotten the oil changed, and said it was working great.  After 2 hours sleep in 24 hours, I'm taking a nap.  I am staying with my adopted family until I leave for the Shaklee Convention.
Good Morning.
I just had 4 hours of sleep and feel like I am ready for the next adventure!
I just had a text from my Grandson in Chicago, he got a new job, working in a store near his house, working with animals, he loves animals! Praise the Lord!
