Well, yesterday I left the RV Park in Colonial Beach, VA. and drove about 40 miles. Woopee! I am not towing my car, left it with my adopted grandson, if I need one, I will rent one.
Just so you know, there is a lot to a Motor Home that I have to learn all over again. Not only do you have a vehicle, but a house on the back, it moves and much consideration must be given to all aspects. Experience helps but it has been about 10 years since I've had RV experience and I am getting re-acquainted with it all over again AND I am getting acquainted with a Coach I have never had before. It is one thing to know how it works sitting in an RV Park, hooked up to the sewer, electricity and water and I got comfortable with that. It is quite another to be "unhooked" and driving. I am experiencing what I need to, while I am close, so I will know what to do when i get "out there", which should be today.
Let me be perfectly clear, I trust God, fully, I intend for Him to be able to trust me, I love Him and He loves me (and you), He has my best interest at heart,(you too), and He knows the future! What a great deal! For those who are worried about me, God's got me. One way or another! Jesus is my Savior, Comforter, Provider, Protector, my Peace and my Joy, the Holy Spirit is my helper, guide, when I listen (which I intend to do). I am excited but not stressed about anything. I am yeilding to the Lord on this adventure and since He knows the plan, I am going with it!
Yesterday I had good intentions of getting about my journey but I needed to experience some things like, stuff falling out of a cabinet on my head, ( happened when I was stopped and could handle it) lesson learned, secure all cabinets! Generator wouldn't start, called my wonderful "go to" RV guy and he talked me through it,(it was an operator problem). Wasn't able to get propane and my very good friend and her family allowed me to stay in their yard and hooked me up to electricity so I could run the refrigerator and heat without running the generator all night. Had a wonderful dinner with my daughter, LaVonne, so I got to see her before I left.
I intend to take care of some necessary business today and get on the road before traffic. Who knows, well the Lord does. Life is an adventure, and mine is not all about me. I know that God has a plan for me, and the people I meet and the places I go are a part of that plan. You can read Isiah 54, which will give you a clue. I just looked at my phone and the scripture fo the day is: Psalm 1:6 "For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous but the way of the ungodly shall parish."
Well, as I was writing this blog, the Suburban propane gas company just called and told me where to get propane (about 3 miles away). Wow does the Lord take care of me! Praise the Lord!
